Info on Me
A man. He studies film at University now and will some day be a filmmaker. Tomorrow he will do something amazing, and he did yesterday.
Just finished this book and now you get to all hear me rave about it. The book is just amazing. It is all about a virus that was set off which turns about 1% percent of anyone affected with it into a superhero, 9 % into Jokers (disfigured humans) and the other 90% dead. I have to say this is already the coolest way to set up a universe and superpowers. The book pretty much just is the idea of a game show about who will seen as the new “American Hero”. At first I was a bit unsure of the book, I liked it but I was not in love. It was at the end when finally it all changed. I won’t reveal it but its probably the best superhero battle I have seen or read about in a long time.
I have to say I do love satire of superheros. Which this book doesn’t really do, what I really mean is not satire but I guess revamp. We have heroes in much more realistic plots which actual personality’s. Though I have to say my favorite version of this type of superhero book is “Soon I Will Be Invincible” which is just a brilliant book.
On a more non raving note, I have decided to start to blog more. Part of “Inside Straight” has the main character blogging about his life and stuff. I have always tried for this but don’t think I ever got what blogging was about. Except a possible more personal note in these blogs and more frequent.
I must leave you all now because my stomach is making demands and has taken the liver hostage.
